Eli Roth’s ‘Goretorium’ Files For Bankruptcy

I still haven’t had a chance to check out Eli Roth’s “Goretorium”, a year-round horror maze/display on the Las Vegas strip and probably never will as I live on the other side of the globe. It opened with quite a bit of fanfare on September 27th, 2012, but apparently the non-horror months (November-August) haven’t helped it generate the revenue it needs. As a result, the company is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy (according to this article in the Las Vegas Sun). While things don’t look good, the Goretorium is still allowed to operate so check it out while you can! If enough people end up liking it, who knows what could happen? Find tickets at the event’s official website.

The multi-level maze of frights submerges visitors into the tale of Sin City’s most deadly mythical hotel and casino, The Delmont. The self-guided horror experience begins in the lobby of the Delmont and unveils gruesome and ghastly sights of past hotel guest victims and the serial-killing family behind the deeds at every turn. Employing high-tech Vegas showmanship with old-fashioned scares, the terrifying labyrinth of live actors, animatronic frights and stunning special effects is contained in a vintage hotel setting that rivals Hollywood’s best movie sets.

There isn’t much online as regards video footage which is unfortunate for someone like me who will never get to see this amazing haunted maze, but from what I have seen I am very impressed and also very surprised that there isn’t more interest in this maze. But I guess that the same as most things it only has a certain shelf life etc. and this being a halloween attraction as such then maybe it doesn’t warrant it being around all year.

However I would love if they could maybe run it for 2-3months of the year around halloween and then have it close till the following year but I think due to costs and the rent on the building etc it would not pay off to do this as I’m sure it has a very high production cost each night!

Give us your thoughts guys? Have you visited the ‘Goretorium’, or do you plan to visit? Or maybe your just a dreamer like me!

I’ve been by it but at 30.00 per ticket there’s no way. Drop the price to 10 or 15 per ticket they would get WAY more business, even mine.
